Timberland Pro Men’s Pitboss 6″ Steel Toe Boot,Black,10.5 M Reviews

Review by Z. Baez:

The only brand work boot I’ve been buying for 12 years. My last pair lasted me 3 years and I only threw it away because my wife made me do it. I think I had a least another six months left on that baby.

Review by Jared L. Ruscher:

I ordered these boots because my last pair of Timberland work boots were very comfortable and durable. I only gave these three stars because they are an average work boot. The boots do not hurt my feet but they lack that extra padding which I prefer. These boots are right for the price but I would’nt purchase these again.

This is my second pair of CAT Second shift boots.

I wore the first pair out after years of abuse.

They are comfortable from day one, look great and last.

Review by Candis L. Pohl:

The seller delivered the boots quickly and in great condition. He sent the boots in a separate box with a clear label and they arrived only a few days after they were sent. These boots go for well over 0 and the price was incredibly almost half of that! Have a great holiday!

Men’s Cat® Second Shift Steel Toe Boot, DARK BROWN, 8 Reviews

Review by Jeff Kraus:

If I remember correctly, I’m up to my third pair of these boots. The last pair lasted almost exactly two years, and would have lasted longer if I hadn’t completely worn down the sole to the point that it was just flat.

They are definitely solid boots. The soft, strong leather improves over time — they definitely require a break-in period before they’re really comfortable, but they will get there after a week or so. The water resistance is excellent as long as the waterline stays below your ankles.

I’ve been using these as my everyday shoes for some time — they double nicely as motorcycle boots, and since I ride to work whenever the weather permits, these get a lot of use. Some of the wear in the soles is surely because of this, and I have some marks in the leather above my left toe from the shifter, but it’s only noticeable up close. Splashes and kicked up water/oil/dirt from other cars is not a problem at all, although in a good heavy rain, water still gets in through the top as it comes through my jeans and trickles down my leg. But that’s unavoidable. The boots are also resistant to slippery surfaces like spots of oil on the asphalt. When I put my foot down at a traffic light, I don’t have to worry about my foot slipping.

The use of hooks instead of holes for the ankle part of the boot is a great help in getting them on and off quickly and easily. The only downside to this is that in 12-18 months, the laces will start to fray from being dragged over the hooks over and over. But the laces themselves are strong — they have a core and sheath composition, so the sheath will eventually give first. Since the laces can still be used for a while with the core exposed, you’ll have plenty of time to get another set of laces after the sheath splits. And again, we’re talking more than a year before that happens anyway. :)

They do seem to run big, so be wary of that. My shoe size is normally about a 10.5 or 11, but with these shoes I have to buy a 9.5.

One last thing to keep in mind, they’re a bit heavy. Mine weigh in at almost a full pound per shoe! So don’t expect to be using these for hiking or anything like that — they’re work boots, after all.

Review by Joon Yang:

First of all, I recommend that you only buy steel toes if you work in an environment where you might potentially drop heavy items on your toes. Having said that, these boots are pretty well suited to such an environment. I used to wear Nike ACG and classic Timberland boots to work but the soles on them were getting ripped up. These soles have held up well. Also, with any steel toe boot, you should buy them in the Wide width because there is less room in the toebox( learn from me I didn’t). The insoles are comfortable enough for me to stand and walk in them for 5-7 hours. I really like these boots, and I might purchase the soft toe version for casual wear because I really like the look of these boots.

Review by Tony:

I’ve worn safety boots for over 7 years. These are the best I’ve found for under 0. Comfortable and finally with a decent sized ‘toe’ if you buy the wide size. Before this I had RedWing, Hush Puppies, CAT (Wolverine?).

Review by John Manzo:

Nicely made, light, and very comfy for well used feet !

East off, easy on. No need to pull laces from eyes to loosen and slip off.

Size is correct….that is a rare thing these days. High quality laces that stayed tied all day!!! Well worth the price.

Wigwam Men’s At Work 3-Pack Socks, Black, Large Reviews

Review by Keah:

These socks are amazing! My husband has been wearing these socks for 18 months and they are still in good shape. With other socks, I’d end up tossing them after 4 to 6 months because the elastic would just melt in his work boots. These socks are thick and comfy and don’t get stained from the boots. I was so pleased that I gave these to family for Christmas. The only drawback is that these socks tend to get fuzz on the inside. This isn’t too bad with the white ones, but the black ones can leave your feet looking hairy. I occasionally wash them inside out to get the fuzz out.

Review by Joseph A. Vanwanzeele:

Fit perfectly, extremely comfortable, durable, look great. couldn’t ask for more from a sock.
